Dust off your sweaters and wraps and hit the road...

It's that time of year again...I'm prepping the painting for the fall sale...October 12 & 13...invite your friends and make it a day.

Who is Nellie anyway?

It all started when I was about ten or twelve years old. My dad asked me if I wanted to attend an auction with him. Maybe there was no one to play with that day or maybe I was just bored with summer vacation, so I said "yes" and went to my first auction. Needless to say, I was hooked! That was over 45 years ago and today my dad (now 88) comes along with me sometimes to hunt for treasures.

What do I do with all the stuff I accumulate? Well, it started with hosting just a few tag sales in my garage, then grew into two separate booths at antique malls. Then I brought it all back home and hosted a summer and fall barn sales on my property each year. Along the way I started to invite girlfriends (who also dumpster dive, flea market and make cool junktiques) to set up their own space at my barn sales--and over time it's evolved into a local "don't miss" event. After several years, popularity and large crowds deemed it necessary to move the event from my yard to a bigger location. In 2013 we held our first Nellie's Vintage Extravaganza with over 55 all vintage vendors, live music, beer garden and great grub every Columbus Day weekend in October.
